48 Hours on 30A: An Itinerary

Only have a weekend to experience 30A? You’ll be surprised how many miles you can cover in a scant 48 hours (and still feel plenty rested and revived afterward). Let our concierge services be your guide with this can’t-be-beat 48-hour customizable itinerary.

Day 1: Sunrise, Seaside, & Iconic Landmarks

Start with Sunrise & Something to Eat

While sleeping in is an-always appealing option, fight the jetlag and hop out of bed bright and early to take in one of 30A’s most iconic scenes: the sunrise. Armed with coffee and those golden rays that signify it’s the start of a new day, you’ll feel like a million bucks.

Breakfast at The Great Southern in Seaside is a first-day must. Overlooking the amphitheater, the restaurant is right in the middle of one of 30As most iconic communities.

Bike, Hike or YOLO Your Way around Rare, Historic Territory

You may already be aware, but the South Walton Beach area is home to a rare global phenomenon known was coastal dune lakes. It so happens that 30A is home to 15 different coastal dune lakes roughly half of which are public access, experience and explore via hiking, biking, or YOLO (stand-up) paddle boarding. You can also kayak or take a guided eco tour. Concierge services can help you with booking rentals or tours in advance.

Lunch on the Go & Take It Easy

All of that exploring will undoubtedly make you hungry, so when you’re ready for a nosh, grab on the go. We recommend either hitting one of Seaside Beach’s airstream pop-up restaurants or checking out the eats at The Hub located at Watersound Beach.

A grab-and-go lunch will suit our second recommendation for how to spend your afternoon: shopping. Eclectic hipsters will find themselves in paradise in Grayton Beach. Meanwhile, the Merchants of Seaside, the Merchants of Rosemary Beach, and the WaterColor Merchants offer an abundance of shopping opportunities.

Dine & Have a Good Time

While it’s advised you shop to your heart’s content, we don’t endorse shopping until you drop because you still have 36 more hours to rock and roll.  For dinner, head to a place that’s guaranteed to keep you young at heart with cocktails, live music, and a great setting

Depending on your crew, of course, for live music, The Red Bar in Grayton Beach, 723 Whiskey Bravo in Seagrove, or The Hub are recommended venues.

Day 2: Live, Learn, & Luxuriate on 30A

Rise, Shine & Ride

After a good night’s sleep, jump right into action on day two for a morning airboat adventure. Let concierge services book you on an exhilarating morning ride where you can learn about coastal wildlife.

Once back on dry land, spoil yourself in Grayton Beach at Another Broken Egg Café where you can feed your appetite whatever your heart desires from southern fried green tomatoes with goat cheese and to Hawaiian French toast. Give the day a kick with a Nutella Iced Latte.

Learn a Trade

Whether your have kids or not, building sandcastles on 30A is not just for children, which is why you should fill your late morning with a charming sandcastle building class. Learn the fine art of sand structures while enjoying the soft sand beneath your feet and the crush and crash of waves in your ears.

Acquire a Local Souvenir

After a laid-back lunch anywhere around town, hit up the local art districts like The Shops of Ruskin in Seaside or Gulf Place Town Center for something locally-created such as a painting, a t-shirt, a piece of jewelry or something else. These are the kinds of things you can keep forever that that will always remind you of your whirlwind stay on 30A.

Of course, if that’s not your thing, you can always tour the Grayton Beer Company brewery and bring home a case of your favorite finds.

Toast the Town

Lastly, cap off your visit with an elegant dinner while overlooking the sunset. The roof of The Pearl in Rosemary Beach or the rooftop dining at 723 Whiskey Bravo are two beach-front dining options that give you killer views and a delicious meal.

It’s a perfect end to a perfect 48 hours on 30A.
