We are very happy to announce today that we will be partnering with a charitable organization based in Florida called Clean the World. Their mission is to reduce the amount of waste going to landfills and to help prevent the millions of deaths caused by hygiene-related diseases each year. Something as simple as soap could help save millions of lives in both the U.S. and abroad and we have plenty of soap to spare.

Each year the hospitality industry throws out millions of dollars worth of lightly used amenities. We are a part of that industry. Have you ever wondered what happened to that half-used bar of soap you left behind on your last trip to the beach? Probably not. Have you ever wondered what happens to all of the half-used bars of soap that get left behind in every cottage along 30A? Hopefully not. It probably isn’t a pleasant thought. We will tell you that simply throwing them away often seems like the best option, however, something about that feels wrong.

When we started looking for something to do with all this soap we had on our hands, Clean the World seemed like the perfect solution. They want to stop throwing away soap and filling landfills with plastic bottles and instead, give it to people who don’t have access to basic sanitation. Clean the World is turning our trash into another man’s treasure and this magical process takes place in Orlando. We ship our old soap to their processing facility where they clean it, process it, repackage it, and ship it off to the places that need it.
